Nuclear Ship Lawsuit Affidavit
I, Audrey McLaughlin, Leader of the New
Democratic Party of Canada, of the City of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, MAKE
OATH AND SAY AS FOLLOWS:
- THAT I am Leader of the federal political party which
has the most Members of Parliament of any party in British
Columbia, including all the Members representing Greater
Victoria, and as such have knowledge of the following facts
and matters deposed to, save and except where same are stated
to be based upon information and belief, and where so stated
I verily believe same to be true.
- THAT it is my belief, and the policy of the New
Democratic Party of Canada, that the public interest would be
best served by the holding of a public environmental review
concerning the porting of nuclear-powered and nuclear-capable
ships in Victoria and Esquimalt, and other British Columbia, and
Canadian waters.
